Killer Instinct will recognize your love for Chief Thunder.

Xbox one will be able to recognize a player and set up his controller preference on Killer Instinct

During this holiday season, those who have chosen to purchase an Xbox One will be happy to know that at launch, Killer Insitinct will be a free to download game on the Xbox Live Marketplace. It has already been confirmed as a freemium game in which you will be given one character to fight as (Jago) and will have to purchase serperate fighters at a still undisclosed price.

Dont worry KI will watch your every move too!

Also announced during EVO 2013, was the integration of the Kinect camera with the game. According to developers, they have put in a system in which the camera will recognize the player holding the controller and adjust the layout according to his liking. If at the main screen it will also automatically choose your favorite character for you as long as he has already been purchased. This feature can be used on the fly and will react to all players in the room if the controller is switched from one person to another.

Will a free to play fighter work?

With Spartacus: Legends being the only other F2P fighter I have seen, it will be interesting to see if Killer Instinct will be able to sustain itself with this new model. Hopefully the purchase of new characters will not be so expensive it scares off customers. I dont think it would be fun to watch Jago fight against Jago everytime you play.

How do you feel about how Killer Instinct is being reintroduced? Will you be paying for other characters as they come out? What do you think would be the ideal price point per fighter?
