Nascar ’14: Drive For the Cover

-insert witty race pun here-

Well fun news of the day, the NASCAR license has changed hands again! Deep Silver, the publisher of Saints Row and Dead Island, will be publishing NASCAR 14. The last entry in the series, NASCAR The Game: Inside Line, was published by Activision back in November 2012. NASCAR ’14 will also be the next game from the series developer Eutechnyx, who also developed Inside Line.

NASCAR ’14 will feature official teams, tracks and drivers from the racing sport. The game includes a career mode in which players can build their own cars and work to acquire sponsors, as well as league competition through rankings, statistics and challenges.

NASCAR Highlights will also allows players to participate in some of the biggest races from the season. Scenarios will be recreated for the player with the same weather, track position and other conditions from real-life races, which is good if you’re still salty about that one race where your favorite driver ate dust. Tournaments and matchmaking modes will also allow players to compete online, with online multiplayer that can have up to 16 players.

In addition, fans can now participate in the Drive For The Cover event, where you can vote for which of your favorite drivers you want to see grace the game cover when it drops. NASCAR fans really showed out last go round, electing nine-time most popular driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr to be the cover model for NASCAR The Game: Inside Line. So click here to vote for your favorite driver!

NASCAR ’14 will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in early 2014, and will be sold for $49.99 at launch.
