Amiibo, More than Just for Collecting

Nintendo plans to have Amiibo bring even more to the table than they do now!

If you haven’t had a good reason to jump on the Amiibo bandwagon by now, Nintendo could be giving you a good reason to do so soon. Game demos/shorter versions, like the ones in Super Smash Brothers for Wii U, will become playable through Amiibo interaction. It was revealed during Nintendo’s investment board meeting that they plan on introducing a new application for the Wii U that will allow you to play Nintendo and Super Nintendo games, all by placing your Amiibo on the Game Pad.

Unfortunately, Nintendo has to go and ruin a good thing by putting a time limit on the games and only allow certain parts of the game to be playable. I’m one of Nintendo’s biggest supporters but they always do something like this, where they have a good idea but one vital flaw in it kills it. It looks like Nintendo wants players to be able to play these games quickly as well as many in one sitting. This theory is a good idea but it would be interesting to see if Amiibo would be even harder to get if they unlocked certain games/data than they already are now! It would probably raise the price of the Amiibo and Nintendo never wants to outprice the market. They want to keep the small time charm of the company and give everyone the option/ability to buy something.( no matter how much they may give the opposite impression with their actions)
