Injustice (Mobile) - Challenge Mode for Android!

Android Injustice Players Rejoice! Challenge Mode is Nigh!

by

NetherRealms Studio offers up an early Christmas gift with the Batgirl Challenge Mode for Android and for iOS devices, the Martian Manhunter Challenge for Injustice.

Long awaiting Android users finally got their version of Injustice: Gods Among Us just last month. But, part of the Injustice experience are the Challenge Modes were a player can win special characters or skins.

Rumors turn into reality as the Martian Manhunter finally joins the mobile roster this month for iOS devices. Android users will be playing for a gold level Batgirl.

One could hope this means in addition to adding more challenge levels, that perhaps opportunity will come to retry past challenges for missed opportunities. Or this may simply mean that Android users will just always be on their own schedule

iOS Invader From Mars

Martian Manhunter was one of the first DLC characters for Injustice and considered by many comic books fans as an integral part of the Justice League, since he was a charter member - along with Green Arrow and Flash. So, adding J'onn to the roster seems only natural.

The mobile app's more limited starting roster would mean he would have to wait a little longer before joining the ranks. Initially, he was only a Support Card.

J'onzz's powers primarily center around his ability to shape-shift and become intangible to move through walls as well as having telekinetic power. His in-game special attacks from the console versions feature these powers.

For each challenge level you win, you get a part of J'onn's gear (Boots, Rock of Mars, Mantle, Medallion, and Cape). Once you have won all five challenges, a Gold Level Martian Manhunter is added to your collection.

For Those Who Are New

If you've not seen or played a Challenge Mode before, they are a separate series of 5 challenges, totaling 63 battles in all.

Challenge Mode fights must be paid for in Challenge Credits. Initially you will receive 25 free Challenge Credits and you can earn more Credits playing Story Battles. But, if you get stuck, NetherRealm is happy to sell you more in Injustice's DLC Shop.

As you progress, you also get consolation prizes -

  • Complete 2 Challenges - Free Bronze Booster Pack (worth 8,000 credits)
  • Complete 3 Challenges - +15,000 Power Credits
  • Complete 4 Challenges - Free Silver Booster Pack (worth 35,000 credits)

And a recently NetherRealms added new feature for those who find the Standard challenge a cakewalk. You can retake the challenge in harder modes, from Expert to the insane Nightmare - earning more prizes and potentially making your gold card an Elite.

Batgirl Fights For Android

Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Gotham City Police commissioner James Gordon, dons cape and cowl to aid Batman in his fight against crime. Despite the original DC continuity that she was paralyzed after being viciously shot in the spine by The Joker, the New 52 stories and Injustice have given her back her physical abilities.

In the Injustice storyline, she is a tech wizard helping Batman's Insurgency after her father's death at the hands of the Regime. And now, you can add her to your roster.

For each Android challenge you win, you get a part of Batgirl's gear (Utility Belt, Gauntlet, Grappling Gun, Cape, and Cowl). Once you have won all five challenges, a Gold Level Batgirl is added to your collection.

    - Challenge Modes just pop up automatically. Be sure you have the latest version. The Android and iOS phones are not always on the same cycle either. The new Apple version challenge just dropped today.

Can the android users retake challenges? Because I have completed the red son Deathstroke challenge and there was no retake in that and recently i finished the Raven challenge in 4 days and i am not able to retake the challenge. I would love to retake the challenge.

Injustice is easy, i used an app for free in game currency. LOL i literally have about 956million credits and about 20k challenge credits. I believe that theres almost no way to win the last set of battles against the elite V gods unless you have spent atleast about 3months farming for credits. FYI flash eliite V is going to be tough since he is extremely fast and can block and strike back quick.

    - I do know that people can short cut and hack the app BUT I'd rather not promote that here.

I am digging Martian Manhunter! His animation is really cool. His base power alone is definitely nifty. It can cause a random result to your opposition. His second special attack is pretty powerful. He might be a little too strong to keep balance.

Is anyone else having a problem accessing the challenge mode for android? I started the Batgirl challenge, but unable to go back to it after I stopped the first time. Cannot find any menu(s) that take me back to challenges. It would be pretty lame if you ONLY could access it one time and sit there and finish it all in a single sitting.

I'm an IOS user, so I have a question about the Android version. Will they get the challenges on different days and end on 10 or 11 days later like the Apple devices?

    - a very good question. I've been inquiring about a possible interview with NetherRealms regarding the coming year as well their other products. Might be a good question.

Of course they run android challenge schedule differ from ios. Otherwise, like if they run the same schedule for both devices, how can android users can get past challenges like hawkgirl, aquaman, and etc?
If they just give away those past challenge rewards, ios users will be mad because some of them even could've used real money to get energies or power credit to get card strong enough to beat the challenge in limited time. ios rerun for the past challenges will result the same.
And if they just decide to run the past challenges on android simultaneously with current challenges, it will cost android users to spend twice the time to get all those rewards. So some of them will be forced to spend real moneys and get mad again.
So, it seems the most effecient and moderate solution to run the challenges indepently on each devices.

    - a pragmatic solution. And likely the only logical choice.

Though some kind of option in the future of a 'Pick Your Challenge' might be a good way for players who missed previous challenges to try and win characters they want.

That's an interesting way to roll out the content. I'm not too sure how easily those credits are acquired, but that sounds like some great additions to the rosters.
