Those following Legend of Zelda news know that a sequel for the 3DS version of A Link To The Past has been in the works. Today at E3, Nintendo revealed a new trailer for the game showing a first-hand look at the gameplay as well as the official title. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2, is now The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

The minute long video shows Link, in the familiar overhead perspective, journeying across terrain and using his various items to uncover hidden passages and battle enemy monsters.

A new game mechanic is also introduced in this video: the ability to transform into a two- dimensional drawing and move along walls.

According to Nintendo, this new mechanic will play a major role throughout the game.

The game is expected to launch this year.  What are your thoughts for the new 3DS Zelda?
