Blade & Soul release date revealed

The release date has arrived! Time to be the martial arts expert we always wanted to be!

Finally, the announcement has arrived! Blade & Soul has a release date for the West and its January 19th, 2016, specifically at 12 am EST. Players who purchased the Founder’s Pack will get in on January 15th giving them a head start on leveling.

The game is a huge success in Asia with 1.8 million concurrent users. It features seven classes (Blade Master, Destroyer, Summoner, Force Master, Kung Fu Master, Assassin, and Blade Dancer), which are race specific. The Lyn race can be a summoner where the Jin race can’t, but they can be the assassin.

There is also factions, who would have guessed? The Cerulean Order focus on the future and well-being of the realm, while the Crimson Legion believe in freedom and fighting against those who try and force their will upon others.

The game will be free to play, but you can buy a Founder’s Pack to get in early. The cheapest pack is the Initiate Pack at $24.99, and the most expensive is $124.99. Each has their own special perks so feel free to check them out here.

This is actually a statistic pulled from the Chinese open beta. China, of course, has much larger player numbers than anywhere else. Just wanted to put that out there.
