For those of you who follow international news, you would know that on April 25th, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, affecting over 8 million people in the country. Although international aid is already working to help out these unfortunate people, Play-Asia.com is mobilizing to do its share of support.

Through a press release on their website, Play-Asia.com let their customers know that from today (April 29th) to May 10th, any purchases made on their online store will automatically transfer $1 USD to the Hong Kong Red Cross for the Nepal Earthquake 2015 Relief Operation.

A quarter of the population is facing water, food, and electricity shortages, and the UN announced that at least 1.4 million people are in dire need of food aid. To raise their chances of survival, the Hong Kong Red Cross will take the final amount of money raised during this financial aid campaign and round it up to the next 5k amount.

In other words, if you gamers through your purchases manage to donate $5,001 the final amount to help the population of Nepal will be $10,000.

Not their first time

Play-Asia.com is not launching a financial aid campaign for the first time in its existence. They were also there to help out tsunami victims in 2011 in Japan, the catastrophe that led to the Fukushima disaster.
