Life in Telara is chaotic enough already for the Ascended, but it is about to get a little rougher. Mayhem in Mathosia is set to begin August 21st and last until September 4th (just in time for Labor Day weekend for us here in the United States). Players of all levels are called to join forces in Scarlet Gorge, Scarwood Reach, and Moonshade Highlands in RIFT.
What’s Happening?
Telara is already under assault from the planes, but it’s about to get worse for the middle of Telara. RIFT will be seeing a massive planar invasion coming for the mid-level range areas of the game. Thanks to the mentor system, this lets even those players at level 60 take part in the event and enjoy it.
What’s in it For Me?
Bonus currency will be given to mentored-down players in RIFT. There is also a special achievement and title (who doesn’t love titles, or is that just me). Special loot drops will also be available such as:
- Sapphire Ki Rin Mount,
- Defiant or Guardian Crest Capes,
- Crimson Gothic Hat,
- Lesser Experience Vial,
- Riot Torch,
- and more.
What is RIFT?
RIFT is a MMORPG that is free to play. It is based in the world named Telara where a group of beings called the Ascended from the ruined future is sent back in time to save their side’s vision of the world. The two factions are the Guardians and the Defiant. RIFT is built and served to us by Trion Worlds, makers of Defiance.
