Final Fantasy X HD to Include X-2 on PS3, Vita Versions Separate

PS Vita owners are getting the short end of the stick this time around.

Final Fantasy X HD has been seen in the wild, and its sequel Final Fantasy X-2 has been tagging along. While this was initially a rumor, two images from next week’s issue of Jump seem to confirm the titles being combined on the PS3, while the PS Vita editions will be released separately.

According to the Jump pages, the HD remastered releases will be of their International versions, which include several pieces of new content in each game. The International editions of Final Fantasy titles are often not released outside of Japan and are often considered the definite release of a game in the series.

We last saw Final Fantasy X HD during the PS Vita conference, during which Square Enix’s Shinji Hashimoto gave a look at the game in action on the Vita. Expect more news soon as more Japanese sources begin reporting on the title. Hopefully we’ll see more color screenshots and footage soon.
