Salutations!
Ogre Party is my free-to-play/download iOS game. It’s akin to a simon-says game, but with a small twist. There are two sets of colorful, cute ogres. Ogres from one set are falling into a pit of fire, while the ogres of the other set are floating on a cloud. The ogres on the cloud dictate which of the falling ogres the player should tap. For example, there could be three red ogres on the cloud, so the player would have to tap three red ogres out of the ogres that are falling to their deaths.
The twist is that if the player hasn’t completely matched all of the ogres on the cloud before one of their tapped ogres falls into the fire, their set of tapped ogres resets. As the player matches faster, the ogres fall faster. The player is ultimately challenged to not only be quick with their fingers, but to also to be patient as well.
The game is set in a fantasy-themed Far Eastern world with a soothing soundtrack. The SFX are based on Taiko drums. Altogether, this game was assembled to offer a zen experience with its art style and audio – despite the fact that little cute creatures are burning to a crisp.
I planned and developed the game, while two of our talented designers illustrated it. We just released it last week! Here is the download link on iTunes:
