Rumor - Sony Working On a VR Headset For the PlayStation 4?

Looks like Sony is throwing its hat into the VR headset market! The folks behind the Oculus Rift might want to watch out!

Recently there have been rumors swirling about saying Sony is developing a Virtual Reality headset much in the vain of the Oculus Rift. New rumors were originally pointing to the Tokyo Game Show as the venue of choice Sony had selected to show off this new piece of hardware, however CVG reports that according to someone involved in the matter there are no plans to do so.

Sony originally planned on showing the device at Gamescom, however now they are expected to reveal the VR headset sometime in 2014. Also according to CVG, Evolution Studios is rumored to be working with Sony on the project to simulate the driver's view on the upcoming PS4 title, Drive Club.

While I've yet to use an Oculus Rift myself, I have seen several videos of people trying out the device and they've all had rather good words to say about it. Not one to be left behind, I'd say it's only a matter of time before Microsoft announces their own VR device.

Thanks to Nicole for the tip!
