New Final Fantasy XV Gameplay Video From Paris Games Week

The FFXV team showed off some new gameplay at PGW 2014 this week, showing the game's beautiful, detailed and ever-changing open world environment.

New gameplay footage (above) from the forthcoming Final Fantasy XV has aired this week at Paris Games Week 2014.

As part of a presentation by Square Enix, the PGW audience saw more of the expansive open-world environment that featured in the FFXV trailer from September’s Tokyo Game Show. In addition to sports cars and agitated mammoth creatures, this new footage showcases how much freedom players will have in exploring the game’s different maps. Also notable is the game environment’s stark contrast of day and night.

The footage includes an area at dusk, a forest at night and during the day, a lake, and more of the open plains we saw from the previous trailer.

(Note: The footage has audio in Japanese from two commentators overlayed onto the video, washing out some of the gameplay audio. The video is available in 720p.)

PGW 2014 Attendee Uploads Footage From FFXV Presentation

An attendee to the presentation uploaded two videos to YouTube that feature the same gameplay as it was shown during the PGW 2014 event. While the size of the screen shows the game in a theater-like environment and the music and game audio come through fairly well, the angle and quality of the video detract from the viewing experience. Also, two speakers (one French, one Japanese) are discussing the game as it plays. Both videos are below:
