Destiny Silver prices announced – expect to pay up to $20

Destiny's new in-game currency will cost between $5 and $20 depending on how much you want to buy.

Today, Tuesday, October 13th, we can purchase the brand new in-game Destiny currency: Silver. The special currency must be purchased with real money, but Bungie has deposited a small amount into everyone’s account, and will reward players with more between now and December.

Silver will be used to purchase special “personalization” items from the new Eververse Trading Company in the Tower. It is available in three differently-priced bundles.

Keep in mind there is no word on how much Eververse items cost at this point. We are expecting to hear of that shortly. That said, the Silver bundles are as follows:

  • 500 Destiny Silver ($4.99)
  • 1000 + 100 Destiny Silver ($9.99)
  • 2000 + 300 Destiny Silver ($19.99)

Silver, on PlayStation Store is described as:

“[…] an in-game currency you can use in Destiny to buy goods for your character in the Eververse Store.”

There is still no telling of what the future of these microtransactions are. “Goods” could describe anything. So far we know that eighteen emotes, character actions, will be available as soon as the Destiny servers come back online.
