Looking back at one of the great Skating games: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater was one of the great games that captivated many forms of players. This game was the first in the series of a long running Pro Skater game set. The initial launch was in 1999 on the PlayStation and later put out on N-Gage, Nintendo 64, and Dreamcast.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater brought both the lazy gamers and the athletic gamers on the same level. It was a game that grabbed some of the athletes because they were able to relate to it in a way they hadn’t experienced before. As for some of the gamers they were quickly falling in love with this well developed game because it was the first that allowed them to explore the athletic scene effectively. 

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater was beautifully done. The game controlled, at the time of launch. flawlessly. The level design of the game was outstanding. The array of characters seemed amazing as well.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater soon blew up into a whole game series adding both better levels and new ways to string tricks together. They eventually developed a level creator that brought the game to a whole new level. Most gamers look back at the Tony Hawk series and realize it was a great game.
