Early Halo 5 Multiplayer Beta Starts Tomorrow

Halo 5 Multiplayer starts tomorrow for Xbox One Preview Members only

343 Industries announced that starting tomorrow Xbox One Preview Members will gain access to the invitation-only Halo 5: Guardians beta until Sunday night. This is almost an entire week before the scheduled beta is opened to owners of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

The limited early access beta will only include content from week 1 of the regular beta and last from December 19 to December 21 until 11:59 p.m. PST. When the full beta is released on December 29 until January 18, it will include: 7 maps, 3 game types, and a plethora of weapons, many of which we can assume include the Needler, Spartan Laser, Energy Sword, and Plasma Grenade.

343 Industries notes that this is the earliest release for any beta in the history of the Halo franchise.

In order to be eligible for the preview program, you must be selected by Microsoft or given an invitation code by a participating member. If you get an invitation code now, it might take some time to activate on your account so don't count on automatically joining the Halo 5 beta.

I wish it would start sooner. I'll only have a few days to play until I head back to college. Unfortunately, the wifi there is so terrible I can't really use it for online play, specifically with Halo. So, I probably won't get to play the beta much. Sad days are ahead.

It's great putting the Beta over Xmas when lots of people aren't home. YAY! :( Well that's me only being able to play a few hours. :( Ah well... can't wait for the full beta!
