Injustice 2 Offers a Taste of Stunning Gameplay at Gamescom

Watch the Joker's girlfriend, a blue version of Iron Man, the Amazon Princess, and a telepathic gorilla pummel each other in this gameplay video.

Injustice 2, the much-anticipated sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us, has released seventeen minutes of grueling gameplay between some old and new characters.

These characters include two returning faces — Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn — and two new characters to the series — Blue Beetle and Gorilla Grodd. The video shows us impressive character dynamics by displaying their special abilities. This includes Grodd’s telepathy and Blue Beetle’s advanced weaponry. Harley Quinn brings some new abilities to the table — the most noticeable being releasing her two pet hyenas, Bud and Lou, on her opponent.

Wonder Woman seems to retain her old abilities, including her use of the lasso, sword, and shield. However, there seems to be a new ability where she clashes her bracelets and glows yellow. This move looks like a power up, which enhances her strength.

While the video does show us a good amount of gameplay, it does not go on for seventeen minutes. The last six minutes of the video shows us how we can customize the characters and change their appearances. You can make Wonder Woman look more like a warrior by adding layers of armor to her body, or you can upgrade Blue Beetle’s suit to make him look more flashy.

The video has given us a taste of exciting gameplay and interesting character customization. With this in mind, fans of the last game have a good reason to be excited.
