Amputee Gamer Designs Bionic Arm With Interactive Screen, Drone, And More

After losing access to his favorite hobby, an amputee now works with prosthetic designers to help develop devices that integrate modern 'smart' technology.

James Young was an avid gamer who lost his arm and part of his leg in a horrible car accident. His life changed forever for so many reasons, not the least of which was the loss of his favorite hobby. After seeing an advertisement looking for amputee gamers, Young found the opportunity to help design his own bionic arm complete with interactive screen, drone, and charger.  Now he’s working with prosthetic designers to help develop devices that integrate modern ‘smart’ technology.
