WoW 5.2 Hotfixes for April 9th and 10th, 2013
by Joseph Rowe
There have been two World of Warcraft 5.2 hotfixes in the last few days. The first was rather minor, but the second one had a bit more meat to it.
April 9th Hotfixes
For WoW 5.2's Throne of Thunder, Durumu the Forgotten's maze of Eye Sores encounter has been improved: safe spots are appear earlier and visual effects were adjusted to make it easier to see the maze.
The damage reduction non-mutated players suffer in Primordius's fight is now back up to 75% in 10-man and 25-man Heroics.
There was a bug where Tauren and Gnome players would crash if they logged into WoW mounted over water; this bug has been fixed. Hunter's talent Powershot now has its damage, cooldown, focus cost, and cast time reduced by 25%.
April 10th Hotfixes
This latest WoW 5.2 hotfix has brought with it quite a few changes to Throne of Thunder and one change to Heart of Fear.
For the Throne of Thunder, the fight with the Council of Elders has seen three changes to its 10-player normal mode incarnation: possessed council members now have a decreased power gain rate, each stack of Frostbite from Frost King Malakk, as well as the Sandbolt from Sul the Sandcrawler now have reduced damage.
Durumu the Forgotten's Disintegration Beam goes away sooner before it reaches the maze's end. Primordius has now had his health slightly reduced in both 10 and 25-player heroic. Tortos's Whirl Turtles have had their base movement speed reduced and his Vampiric Cave Bats now do less damage in 10-player normal.
Heart of Fear's Garalon has had his enrage timer nearly doubled in 10 and 25-player normals to a total of 12 minutes (up from 7.)
Quests and Items
Charged Moganite has now been changed so that it will deal a flat amount of nature damage. This damage will be adjusted, of course, according to the target's resilience and other defenses.
In the WoW 5.2 quest, The Darkness Within, the problem where a player dies while Captain Doren is casting Rejection and he gets stuck in evade afterward has been fixed.
When activated in PvP combat (not changed for PvE), the trinkets Brutal Talisman of the Shado-Pan Assault and Vicious Talisman of the Shado-Pan Assault have had their effects nerfed to 6908 Strength (Brutal) and Agility (Vicious) down from the original 8800.
The WoW Tier-15 Ret Pally set 2-piece bonus will not interrupt the user's swing timer when they cast Exorcism. When using Pounce, Loa-Infused Bladetalons will do less damage.Originally Published Apr. 11th 2013
