Your Xbox One May Be Trolled By Aaron Paul

Is Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad and Need For Speed trolling your Xbox One?

So many by now have seen Microsoft’s notorious Xbox One commercial featuring Breaking Bad and Need For Speed actor Aaron Paul. The commercial demonstrates the power of the new Kinect that had so many in an uproar.

What you may not have known is that some Xbox One users have been experiencing their consoles coming to life the minute Aaron Paul says the magic words “Xbox On.”

I must admit, I am a victim of my Xbox One obeying his every command and was scrambling to grab my controller to shut it down. Was I annoyed? Yes. Was it hilarious? YES! My fiance and co-workers most certainly found the entire situation most entertaining.

Since I have my speaker bar above the Kinect for my surround sound system, it was very easy for it to respond to Aaron Paul’s clear diction using the voice commands. After telling the console to power on, he then says to load up Titanfall. Now since I don’t have the game digitally, this was a benefit but for other users who do, not so much. I am very impressed with the Kinect after this experience.

Microsoft hasn’t made any statements regarding this latest mishap that has been reported by other Xbox One users such as myself. Their only comment was to say that this isn’t the only commercial that demonstrated the Kinect feature.

Not too long after the launch last year, Call of Duty online players were trolled by a humorous user going by the gamertag “XboxSignOut.” He’d appear in numerous games, grabbing players attention, so when they said the gamertag out loud, it would bring them to the sign-out screen. I have seen videos on YouTube and I must admit it was quite clever. You can hear many players laughing in the background, then the realization for saying it aloud happens and it’s priceless fun.

As for Aaron Paul, I now keep the volume low once I see that commercial pop up especially during Adult Swim but he’s a man who can troll me anytime.

Happy gaming!
