Volume, a narrative stealth game on PlayStation, has announced some very exciting news. PlayStation Morpheus, which has been formally given the name PlayStation VR, will be getting a free expansion when the device launches.

Volume: Coda will pick up after the ending of the core game, and it’s going to star a new character. The new campaign features 30 new levels, a new cast of voice actors that adds new characters to the story, and a new VR setting as players take on the role of The Troubleshooter.

In addition to the free expansion, Volume has just updated their game and added ‘Checkpoints’. Volume previously had a speedrunner mentality, but with the new checkpoints, players will be able to avoid losing all their progress mid-mission. There are new modes and leaderboards for players who want to try their hand at pure stealth or simply a more challenging experience.

As of now we still don’t have a release date for the Vita, but the developers promise it’s on the way. The Vita version will be cross-buy, so no need to worry about buying the game twice. Not to mention, all the new modes and features will automatically be on Vita when it launches.

If you have yet to play Volume and want to give it a try, this might be the best time to buy; Volume is on sale for PS4 at 30% off through November 4th. If you want to give it a look, click here.
