Xbox One Users Won’t Be Able to Pre-Load Titanfall says Microsoft Rep.

Microsoft "apologizes for any confusion" about the upcoming launch for Titanfall.

Despite earlier reports saying that Xbox One users would be able to pre-load Titanfall like the PC users, the post on Xbox.com, that has since been taken down, had apparently been posted by mistake.

Microsoft apologizes for the confusion.

The PC version of Titanfall will allow users to download the game early through EA’s service Origin. A Microsoft representative talked to Polygon and apologized for the misinformation and that Microsoft is trying to find a balance between digital downloads and physical copies of their games.

“We believe in digital distribution, and are proud to give gamers a variety of ways to purchase and experience their games. However, pre-purchase and pre-download for Titanfall for Xbox One will not be available from Xbox Store. We’ll continue to strike a balance between digital distribution and its benefits, while supporting physical games purchase through our retail partners.”

“The pre-purchase offer page was posted in error. We apologize for any confusion.”

Hurray for PC users!

PC users will be able to pre-load the game before the launch on March 11th and play it immediately after midnight while Xbox One users will have to wait for their download to finish once it is available to them on the 11th.

Either way Titanfall launches March 11th after having a pretty successful beta by many players’ standards. Do you think Microsoft not allowing pre-loads for Xbox One users will affect the success of the launch in any way?
