Most Popular Games At E3 (Backed By Science)

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the most popular game of E3 2016.

People have been debating what the best game at E3 was (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild *cough cough*). However, the data firm ListenFirst compiled unbiased data to determine what the most searched game was during E3, and subsequently what the most popular game was. The results are shown below:

Unsurprisingly, Nintendo’s Breath of the Wild trailer took first place with 90K organic searches surrounding announced games at E3. Following this was Sony’s God of War trailer with 85K views, Electronic Art’s Battlefield 1 trailer with 45K views, Sony’s Detroit trailer with 44K views and Microsoft’s We Happy Few trailer with 39K views.

It is unsurprising that Breath of the Wild is the highest searched, and only game, in the top 10 for Nintendo because it is the game they primarily focused on during Nintendo’s Treehouse event.

Breath of the Wild does not have a release date as of yet, but Nintendo is aiming for a early 2017 release for WiiU and likely the NX.
