Grand Theft Auto V Petition Nears 600k Signatures

The online petition to bring Grand Theft Auto V to the PC is really gaining steam.

It’s no surprise that the Grand Theft Auto V release last month was huge. However, the game is only available on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. This hasn’t been sitting well with PC gamers.

A movement has begun to bring the game to the PC, and it’s been gaining steam. An online petition, hosted on Change.org, has gathered nearly 600,000 signatures. There were already over 300,000 signatures a full month prior to the game’s release.

At the moment, the official count is 578,758 signatures, and their goal is a whopping 1,000,000. Reaching this goal is not unrealistic. Grand Theft Auto V is the first main title in the Grand Theft Auto series to not be available on the PC.

It could be, however, that Rockstar Games is merely waiting to release the PC version of the game. They’ve made no comment on the topic, but Grand Theft Auto IV’s release on the PC took place several months after the original debut of the game.

If you’d like to see GTA V on the PC, then head on over to the petition and add your digital signature.

The movement is kind of pointless.

We go through this every single time a new GTA is released. People need to stop being so impatient and wait for the game on PC. We all know it will come out eventually.

The only reason Rockstar's doing this is because if they released the game on PC they know that 90% of the copies would be pirated anyways, so they'd rather hold out on PC for a while to make people buy the console version. PC gamers brought this upon themselves.

I am wary of the fact that most of these petitioners are two-faced "PC" gamers that will pirate the game as soon as its released and will never drop a single dime on the game.

Anyways, its really hard to change the fact that the PC platform is still ruined by pirates here and there. Thus the bad reputation it's synonymous with.
