Newest Attack on Titan Game Receives Australian Rating, Implying International Release

The Australian Ratings Board has issued a rating for the latest Attack on Titan video game on the 3DS, suggesting an imminent international release.

Attack on Titan has become one of the most popular anime in recent years, so it should be no surprise that it’s getting a video game. Famitsu announced an updated version of Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind (released last year in Japan) just a few weeks ago. However, this version will not be exclusive to Japan. According to NeoGAF posts, the Australian Classification Board has submitted a rating for this Attack on Titan game.

Although Spike Chunsoft (the game’s developer) has not confirmed a localization, this heavily suggests that the game could come out in Australia, and thus other regions. The initial Japanese version of the game is set for release on December 5, so an early to mid 2015 release for the English language version of the game seems likely.

Other Attack on Titan Games

However, this isn’t the first Attack on Titan video game. Far from it, at least three other games predate this one. However, they were all visual novels, intended as side stories to the manga proper. The 3DS title represents the first action game in the Attack on Titan franchise.
