Activision has announced The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventure for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U and 3DS. The game will release on November 3 in North America and November 6 in Europe.
This of course would be pretty unusual news in any other year but, in case you are unaware, there is a new Peanuts movie releasing later this year. The game is being released to coincide with the release of the movie. Snoopy is all about that synergy.
As you can see in the official trailer above, The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventure is a side-scrolling platformer that follows Snoopy as he attempts to find Charlie Brown and the gang. Snoopy will have different costumes in the game that give him varying abilities, kinda like Mario. Additionally, a second player can join in the action and play as Snoopy’s old pal, Woodstock.
The game will also take you from Paris to the moon, and everywhere in between. For what it is, Snoopy’s Grand Adventure looks like one worth taking.
The Peanuts Movie is also set to release on November 6, the same day as the European release of the game. You can check out the movie trailer below!
This is the second Snoopy game to come to Xbox 360, the last being Snoopy Flying Ace, which was an arcade game in 2010. There was also a Snoopy flying game on PS2 but this marks the first time there’s been a platform Snoopy game, long overdue some might say! It’s worth noting the game will not be released on PS Vita or PS3, no reasons were given. The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventure will release on November 3 and November 6 in North America and Europe.
