If you’re wondering why this was ever an issue, it’s because the people at Sky TV own the word sky. Sky TV is a cable provider and TV network in New Zealand.

Sky TV is the same group that forced Microsoft to change Skydrive to what we now know as Onedrive back in 2013. If this company is making Microsoft change the names of things, you know this has to be pretty serious.

After the long battle was finally won, Sean Murry, founder of Hello Games, took to Twitter to share his excitement.

Good work Sean! No Man’s Sky is set to release on August 9th for PS4 and PC.
