Earlier this week, aspiring filmmaker Kris Sundberg dropped this gem: an expertly-crafted two minute trailer pairing Mad Max: Fury Road with Mario Kart. The effect is a spectacle of well-timed Mario Kart sound bytes superimposed over Fury Road‘s uncontainable vehicular carnage. Though this might sound like a jarring combination, the two source products are surprisingly compatible. And the result is a blast to watch – literally. Anyone who has found themselves locked in the throes of 150 cc kart warfare knows just how high the stakes can climb.
Sundberg first shared his talents with YouTube in 2007 with an artistic take on the alphabet. This time around, his trailer has already racked up 1 million views.
