Pokemon Sun and Moon Guide: Poke Pelago Info

Check this guide out for all the info on Poke Pelago in Pokemon sun and Moon!

Poke Pelago is a new feature in Pokemon Sun and Moon that lets you develop islands for your Pokemon in your PC boxes. Each island does something different, and they have a variety of uses. They allow you to get Poke Beans and require you to use them to develop more islands.

I'm going to go over all the islands you can develop in Poke Pelago and the benefits of each one.

This will go over everything about Poke Pelago in Pokemon Sun and Moon including:

  • How to Unlock Poke Pelago - When you can start going to the Poke Pelago.
  • Poke Pelago Isles - Each Isle and what they do.

How to Unlock Poke Pelago

You first gain access to Poke Pelago when you unlock the Charizard ride pager on the second island

  • Once you have done this, check your menu by Pressing X.
  • Go to the 2nd screen, and choose Poke Pelago.

You can go here whenever you have access to the menu. It does not actually take you from your position, so when you leave the Pelago, you will be right where you originally were.

Poke Pelago Isles

When you get there, you will get a short tutorial from Mohn, the guy who develops Poke Pelago. There are 5 Isles you can develop in Poke Pelago:

  • Isle Abeens
  • Isle Aplenty
  • Isle Aphun
  • Isle Evelup
  • Isle Avue

Each Isle can be upgraded to Rank 3, which increases the benefits. I'll list the ranks and what they do in each section.

Isle Abeens

This is the starting isle and the most important to develop first. This isle has a bean stalk that will drop beans for you to collect. You can collect either Standard Beans, Special Beans, or Rainbow Beans.

  • Rank 1 - Starting.
    • Allows you to collect Poke Beans and use them to attract wild Pokemon.
  • Rank 2 - Requires 15 Pokemon to be in PC Boxes and 30 Normal Beans.
    • Increases amount of beans harvested.
  • Rank 3 - Requires 30 Pokemon and 90 normal Beans.
    • Further increases amount of beans harvested.

There is a box you can put beans into to attract wild Pokemon. Below is a list of Pokemon that can come to the Isle.

Pokemon On Isle
Spearow  Zubat Poliwag
Kadabra Magnemite  Shellder
Haunter  Staryu  Scyther
Pinsir  Lapras Murkrow
Scarmory  Wingull Metang
Drifloon  Mismagius  Emolga
Braviary  Mandibuzz Fletchling
Carbink  Klefki Trevenant
Pikipek Pyukumuku  N/A

When you touch them, Mohn will tell you to come back tomorrow to see if they like it there. If you come back the next day, they might join you.

Each Normal Bean will add 20 minutes to the island effect. Special Beans add 1 hour and Rainbow Beans add 2 hours. Keep in mind that only Normal Beans are used to develop the Isles.

Isle Aplenty

This island lets you plant berries. It will take between 24-72 hours to grow a Berry plant, depending on the type.

Putting Poke Beans in the box will make the grow twice as fast. This effect only lasts as long as there are beans in the box.

  • Rank 1 - Requires 15 Pokemon and 15 Normal Beans
    • Unlocks the island and ability to plant 6 Berries at once.
  • Rank 2 - Requires 30 Pokemon and 60 Normal Beans
    • Unlocks the ability to plant 12 Berries at once.
  • Rank 3 - Requires 30 Pokemon and 90 Normal Beans
    • Unlocks the island and ability to plant 18 Berries at once.
Isle Aphun

This island lets your Pokemon search a cave for items. It takes 24 hours, but having beans in boxes will complete it twice as fast.

  • Rank 1 - Requires 30 Pokemon and 30 Normal Beans
    • Unlocks the island and Odd-Shard Hunting for shards, hard stones, revives, and star pieces.
  • Rank 2 - Requires 45 Pokemon and 90 Normal Beans
    • Adds the options for Brilliant-Stone Hunting and Interesting-Item Hunting.
    • Brilliant-Stone Hunting lets you get Evolution stones, Hard stones, Everstones, Float Stones, and Light Clay.
    • Interesting-Item Hunting has a chance to get any of the items from the other Hunting Paths.
  • Rank 3 - Requires 30 Pokemon and 90 Normal Beans
    • Adds the option for Rare-Treasure Hunting for Nuggets, Pearls, Gold Bottle Caps, Comet Shards, Rare Bones, and Hard Stone.
Isle Evelup

This island lets you leave Pokemon there to either level up or increase their EVs. Each session is 30 minutes and having beans in the box makes it twice as fast.

pokemon sun and moon poke pelago ev training

You can do a total of 99 sessions at once, which takes 49 hours and 30 minutes. Each session gives 4 EVs to the chosen stat and no stat can go above 252. This means it would take 63 sessions to max a stat out.

  • Rank 1 - Requires 45 Pokemon and 45 Normal Beans
    • Unlocks the island and allows 6 Pokemon to train.
  • Rank 2 - Requires 60 Pokemon and 120 Normal Beans
    • Unlocks the island and allows 12 Pokemon to train.
  • Rank 3 - Requires 75 Pokemon and 225 Normal Beans
    • Unlocks the island and allows 18 Pokemon to train.
Isle Avue

This island lets you leave Pokemon to increase their Happiness and hatch eggs.

Putting beans in the box will double how much happiness they get and make eggs hatch twice as fast.

  • Rank 1 - Requires 60 Pokemon and 60 Normal Beans
    • Unlocks the island and allows 6 Pokemon to stay.
  • Rank 2 - Requires 75 Pokemon and 150 Normal Beans
    • Unlocks the island and allows 12 Pokemon to stay.
  • Rank 3 - Requires 90 Pokemon and 240 Normal Beans
    • Unlocks the island and allows 18 Pokemon to stay.
