Ticket To Ride Board Game Turns 10!

Celebrate 10 fantastic years of Alan R. Moon's Ticket to Ride, with a special 10th Anniversary edition and a world champion

One of the worlds most successful, addictive, and sometimes infuriating board games has turned ten years old this month. To celebrate, Days of Wonder are selling a 10th Anniversary edition of the original game, as well as holding a world tournament to find the Ticket To Ride world champion.

Created in 2004 by British-born board game designer Alan R. Moon, the game was an instant success and went on to receive numerous rewards globally. Going from strength to strength, Ticket to Ride has become a modern board game marvel, even earning itself a loving lambaste by none other than Penny ArcadeThere is now even an electronic version, covering several of the games different versions and maps, that incorporates a player world ranking system.

What's In The Box?

http://www.daysofwonder.com/The 10th anniversary edition has the original USA map, and all routes were given an overhaul with new graphic detailing. The board itself is 50% larger than its standard counterpart. Wagons, housed in painted tin boxes, also have an immaculate amount of detailing and colour compared the standard one-colour molds.

The standard game itself has always been made with a high attention to care, quality, and detail, surprising gamers as to just how well manufactured Ticket to Ride is. But the 10th anniversary edition certainly goes the extra mile to make this a superlative version of the board game, making it a highly desirable item even at the higher price of around $100/€80.

Become A First Class Champion
