In the newest patch for World of Warcraft, still in PTR, Blizzard introduces some new goodies for the fishing profession. There are two big new changes: an enemy sea monster that you can reel in and four new battlepets!
The sea monster will randomly pop up if you fish in large pools of Reef Octopus. It will have 39 million health, so, make sure to bring a few friends to take it down. There is no released information on what the fish will drop, but hopefully it will be something cosmetic for fishers or an item that will help you raise rep with the anglers if you haven’t done so yet.
In WoW 5.2, you’ll be able to lure in some new battlepets. There will be four different locations to catch the fish, each with their own special location, but that has yet to been stated. The pets are: Tiny Blue Carp, Tiny Red Carp, Tiny Green Carp, and Tiny White Carp.
