Why Minecraft is a great game for kids.

Want a game for your kid that's just great? Well take Minecraft. Why not?

Why is Minecraft so darn good for kids to play? Well let me tell you! The really good question to ask yourself is why shouldn’t my kid play Minecraft.

Every day we struggle to find something creative, fun and immersive for our children to do. There are actually people that ban video games from their children because they think that they will become maniacs that go wandering off hurting people, killing people and stealing from people. But is that really the truth? Have they done their research correctly or have they just listened to the news that always have a bad opinion about everything? Probably not.

I’m not saying that you should let your 7-year-old play GTA 5 or Call of Duty, but what I am saying is that you should trust your children and actually look the game up and see if your kid can handle it. Of course there are also parents that don’t care at all, and let their children play games that aren’t appropriate for them. This will obviously make their child violent and aggressive. Do you know why? They just can’t handle it. So let your kid start off with something less graphically violent. Wait till their about my age (13 years) to let them play, for example, Call of Duty or Assassin’s Creed.

Now, why should your child play Minecraft? Minecraft is a game about placing blocks and turning your imagination to reality. Your child can build houses, tunnels, ships, towers, castles, farms and so much more. They’ll have to use their math skills when placing, for example, the right amount of blocks or mining the right amount of iron. The world is pretty much infinite and has several animals that your character will have to survive on throughout the entire game. There are weapons such as axes, swords and bows. But there are also a large variety of tools and blocks that you can use when building something. You will spend a lot of time exploring, mining, and building. Mostly mining…

There is also a multiplayer option, which your child can use to play with his friends. You can also make servers that people can visit and build their own houses and creations in. There isn’t really much to say about Minecraft except positive things.

I hope this post helped you in any way possible, comment for any questions & suggestions.
