Zatanna To Join Injustice DLC?

Mortal Kombat co-creator hints that Injustice may becoming more magical soon.

Back in May, Ed Boon, Co-Creator of Mortal Kombat and the Creative Director at NetherRealm, teased the Twitterverse with an ‘unofficial’ poll about who would be the next character added to the Injustice: Gods Among Us.

As strong as the voting was, players were more curious about who WASN’T in that poll – the Martian Manhunter. Boon prodded that he was too obvious of a choice, and not long after it was announced that the Manhunter was already planned as the newest addition.

The poll included: Swamp Thing, Power Girl, Zatanna, Doctor Fate, Blue Beetle, Red Hood, and Static Shock. The ‘unofficial’ winners – Red Hood and Zatanna in a nose-to-nose tie.

Magical Boon?

In the last 24 hours, Ed Boon has posted a couple of replies to followers and seems to be leaning toward the magician with the nice legs (No, I’ve not seen Marvel’s Dr. Strange’s legs for comparison).

RT  Zatanna. Thank you.  EB: Did I say Zatanna? 😉

RT  you troll! Just admit that Zatanna’s gonna be the next character so we can get on with our lives. T_T  EB: LOL

Will this ‘unofficial’ poll continue as a way NetherRealms gauges who they should add to their DLC?

With such a rich universe of characters to pull from, the studio has a deep well to keep going back to month after month. In addition to some of the popular characters in Boon’s poll, game forums overflow with suggestions from eager Injustice players.

Also, many other comic book regulars already make cameo appearances in the game and could likely be among future candidates.

Which DC hero or villain would you like to see added?
