Final Street Fighter 5 Beta Date announced

The final beta for Street Fighter 5 hits January and will run until the next day.

Capcom announced that Street Fighter 5 will be getting one final beta. Releasing on January 30 and ending on the 31st, the beta will only last two days. This may seem short, but we only have to wait a couple of weeks before the full game releases on February 16.

No further details were given on the content in the beta. In previous trials, all characters were playable except for newcomer F.A.N.G. Both PC and PS4 users will have access to this beta. However, you will need to pre-order the game to receive the code.

When Street Fighter 5 launches on February 16, players will be able to play through individual character stories that provide background information on each character. In June, a free "story expansion" update will be released to all players as well. This adds a story that takes place between Street Fighter 3 and 4. Capcom also confirmed that the first post-launch content for Street Fighter 5 will be released in March.

Back when Street Fighter 5 was first announced, it caused quite an uproar with the news that it would be coming exclusively to PS4 and PC. Time will tell if this was a sound business decision, but for now this is a huge win for Sony. So will you be jumping in this weekend to get one last taste before the full game launches?
