Ten of the Best Hearthstone Legendary Cards

Ten Legendary cards that you should consider for your decks.

What are the best Legendary cards to use when there's so many to pick from? Many people have this same question - I did when I first started playing the game, that's for sure! So after countless hours of playing, I decided to rate which cards belong in the top ten.

"But why is it not a top ten list then?"

Well, that's simple: each card does something specific, and no two cards are alike. Some cards are specific to classes, so ranking those based against a card from a Warrior deck just wouldn't be fair. These ten cards are all equally important depending on what type of deck you're looking to make, and they have relatively equal impact on the game.

Dr. Boom

Where would 38% of the decks in the game be without him? He is easily one of the top choices, and what's not to love about a 7/7 that summons two bombs by his side, all for the cost of 7 mana crystals? You just better hope you're not about to deal with a Big Game Hunter and let the bombs do the rest of the work.

Sylvanas Windrunner

This is one of the other easy ones to see why it would be in any deck (30% to be exact). At the cost of 6 mana crystals, you can easily take control of a Molten Giant if you play your cards right. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Sneed's Old Shredder

This is one of the better cards you could have in your deck. Not only is he a 5/7 beast of a card; if he's not silenced, he could be anything Legendary. There's only three cards he cannot make, Finkle EinhornV-07-TR-0N and Mr. Bigglesworth. Didn't Barney Stinson already teach us that this was a good thing?

Tirion Fordring

This is one of those cards that is used so much it may as well be made mandatory for any Paladin deck. Not only does Tirion Fordring come as a 6/6 with Taunt and Divine Shield; If he's not silenced you get to equip a 5/3 weapon when he dies. If your opponent has an answer and does manage to silence him, he's still got damage that would make any opponent worry.

Ragnaros the Firelord

So you've cleared the board, but your enemy still has a taunt minion up - and they only have a couple health left. You have nothing in your hand that would work, except Ragnaros the Firelord. All you have to do is set him down and watch the fireworks play out in your favor - because let's be real, there's something satisfying about clearing the enemy's board.

Grommash Hellscream

This Legendary card is used in over 60% of Warrior decks in the game. At an 8 mana crystal cost you can summon this beast, and easily combo off an Explosive Sheep or Death's Bite to make his attack something players cannot ignore.

Loatheb

This is a card that could either be used for his damage, or as the difference between a win or loss. Imagine you're in the final crucial moments, but you're missing a single mana crystal for it - and you know Jaina has a Fireball ready for you. Send this bad boy out to put that card out of her reach for the next turn, allowing you that chance you've been waiting for. Used in over 30% of all decks, it's easy to see why he'd be on any list.

The Black Knight

Let's face it, you know you're going to win, but your opponent still thinks there's a chance since they managed to play out a Sludge Belcher. You need an answer - look no further. The Black Knight is often an overlooked card, but really deserves a spot in almost any deck.

Lord Jaraxxus

This card is nearly a must-have for any Warlock deck, and is used in over 40% of all Warlock decks already. At worst, it's a heal-to-15 with a permanent weapon - which isn't really a terrible thing. At best, it's an impressive and flashy part of your finishing move.

Archmage Antonidas

This card is present in over 35% of all Wizard decks, with very good reason. Every single spell you cast results in a fireball to your hand, which really makes the game an easy win. If you want to spread fire and destruction, this is definitely the way to go.
