10 biggest video game sins: Day one DLC, unskippable cutscenes, Doritos, and more

1 of 11

Even though we all love video games, there are just some things that get under our skin. Or things that are on other people's skin that end up on our controller.

For this list, I've compiled some of the biggest pet peeves in gaming with beautiful color photographs and detailed descriptions to appease even the most irritable gamers.

Ranging from video game sins to general annoyances, this list gives insight into what really pisses gamers off.

Can we add, to the multiplayer in singleplayer general concept, the 'forced pvp' in MMOs? From WoW making pvp part of the pve legendary questline in MoP, WildStar making pvp the only non-gated way to get ability and amp points, every time I'm forced to pvp in order to maximize my pve abilities, I get annoyed.

Not that I've played it, so this is not from experience, but isn't the first hour or so of MGS V a long cutscene?

I only really played the beginning of MGS V. From what I remember it is gameplay (well crawling on the floor) mixed with cutscenes. There is a really long cutscene in MGS 4 that goes on for about an hour and a half.

Thankfully all the cutscenes from both games are skippable.

For day one DLC, you forgot about Evolve. Don't worry... everyone else has too, which is a shame.

Also I've heard that the PS4 controller is rather bad with battery, where the Xbox One isn't as bad. I now the PS3 controler died quickly, and the Xbox 360 was great for battery life.

I did forget about Evolve! Thanks for pointing that out.

Yes, my PlayStation controller loses juice pretty quickly. The Xbox One definitely does have the longer battery life but it's a pain if you don't always have batteries laying around.

Thanks Jay, but I don't hear anyone saying I'm wrong. ;) I was actually excited for a game about hunting a player controlled creature. Shame it just didn't have much depth.

The play and charge kit seems to make the controller last for a long time.
