Eurogamer Expo 2013 SOLD OUT!

Want to go to London's Eurogamer Expo 2013? Well, we hope you've already bought your ticket!

Despite being only six years old, gaming magazine Eurogamer’s Expo has quickly become the biggest video games event in Britain. Starting off in humble beginnings at an abandon brewery building in the East End of London, it quickly outgrew itself and has been resident at the Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre, one of the UK’s largest and most famous exhibition spaces, for the past three years..

With tickets now officially sold out, the expo’s popularity shows no sign of waning.

Harder, Better, Faster, Busier!

After last year’s unprecedented demand, organisers realised that the show would need to grow more. But despite increasing capacity by 40% this year, tickets have sold out quicker than ever. This year’s upcoming event has proven so popular, that organisers have even had to resort to putting in a new theatre with additional seating so that the expected 70,000 gamers have enough space to watch sessions, charge phones, and meet other players.

FIRST!!!!!1!

One of the reasons for the vast popularity of this year’s event is that gamers have the opportunity to play on some of the upcoming next-gen consoles, specifically the PlayStation 4. Some of the games that players will be able to sample on the highly touted system include Assassins Creed: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, and Batman: Arkham Origins.

But it’s not all about the big names and future gaming. There’s also the huge indie game area, where gamers can better acquaint themselves with hotly anticipated titles such as:

  • Sir, You Are Being Hunted,
  • Montague’s Mount,
  • Prison Architect,
  • and the sequel to this year’s blockbuster indie hit Hotline Miami, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number.

Let’s not forget mention a huge area dedicated to giving gamers the opportunity to play some of their favourite retro games, and a tournament arena where more competitive players can battle it out.

As always, GameSkinny will be attending to give you the lowdown on all the breaking news.

Eurogamer Expo 2013 will take place at the Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre, London UK, between September 26th – 29th. Tickets are now SOLD OUT. For more information about the event, visit www.eurogamerexpo.com.
