Plague of Shadows is a new add-on for the hit game Shovel Knight. Many fans have been waiting patiently for this add-on to be released. Now the wait is over: the release date for Plague of Shadows is officially September 17th.
Plague of Shadows will be made avaliable to all systems. However, the update can only be obtained by beating the original game. the studio will provide a special code will be provided to those who have lost their save file or chose to switch to another system.
The Plague of Shadows update contains an awesome new adventure mode with the Plague Knight as the star. Plague of Shadows will also introduce a variety of new challenge modes.
Previously the original Shovel Knight was available only as a digital download. It can still be downloaded for all existing systems; however, a retail copy of the game will hit store shelves sometime in October for those who prefer a hard copy of the game.
More news concerning Plague of Shadows was revealed at a recent pre-PAX Prime event. A special Shovel Knight amiibo is arriving for the Nintendo Wii U. The amiibo will allows players to unlock a special co-op and challenge mode exclusive to the Wii U.
