Well this isn’t something you see every day.

7,000 Wii U consoles were stolen from SeaTac’s Seattle Air Cargo warehouse last Saturday, in a heist that seems to be larger than life.

Thieves drove two large diesel trucks into SeaTac’s Seattle Air Cargo at around 9pm last Saturday and proceeded to clean the warehouse’s store of Wii U consoles out. Pallets filled with consoles were transported and emptied into two 53-foot semi-trucks parked outside of the warehouse. Employees coming into work the next day found the empty pallets and a huge lack of Wii U boxes.

Leads are scarce, and the King County Sheriff’s office is looking for any information anyone may have. Should you come across any suspiciously good Wii U offers this holiday season, the Sheriff’s office would like you to call 206-296-3311 and report on what you’ve seen. Getting the serial number of any suspicious units you see can be traced to find out of they are one of the stolen bunch.

It’s like the type of heist you see in moves, except the target was a chunk of video game consoles instead of money. Bad news for Nintendo, but good news for whoever those thieves are.
