PS4 Party Voice Chat Will Hold Up to 8 People

PS4 party chat will hold up to 8 people and it can connect with the PS Vita's party chat.

The party chat feature of PS4 will hold up to eight people, just like the PS Vita. Playstation social media manager, Sid Shuman, confirmed this by commenting on a Playstation blog post.

Party Voice Chat will support up to 8 players on PS4, like PS Vita.

Both the PS4 and Vita will be able to communicate with each other with the party voice chat. Considering there are games for each that use the cross-play feature, this will be a great feature.

I don’t have a Vita, and I won’t be getting a PS4 for a while, but this sounds really cool. I like how close the Vita is with the PS3 and PS4. The fact that you can play some games on the Vita with those that have it on the other two is great. Even better that they let you form parties and talk together. That kind of connectivity between consoles should become more common.

The PS4 launches in North America on November 15 and in Europe on November 29. How do you feel about PS4 party chat holding eight people? Is it enough? Do you enjoy the fact that Vita and PS4 players can talk in the same parties? Discuss in the comments.
