Crash Arena Turbo Stars Beginner Tips and Tricks

Check this guide out for everything you need to get started in C.A.T.S. Crash Arena Turbo Stars!

Crash Arena Turbo Stars, or C.A.T.S. is a fairly new mobile game that gives players a unique “Battlebots” experience. You can build your vehicle with various parts, then watch as it fights an opponent vehicle. These parts — and vehicle type, change battle significantly.

There are also skills and other things you can unlock, so I decided to make this guide to help out anyone just getting into the game.

Crash Arena Turbo Stars Basics

In this game, you will build your vehicle and watch as it fights others. You cannot control it, so be sure to build it the best you can to stand up in battle.

Battles end when either 1 vehicle loses all of its health. After a short time, if both vehicle are still up, the walls start to move in. Any vehicle that touches these walls will instantly blow up and lose.

Battle Modes

There are 2 types of battle modes: Quick fight, and Championship.

  • Quick Fight – This is a single battle against other people in your league. If you win, you start or continue your streak.
    • This allows you to get loot boxes and slowly increase your rank.

  • Championship – This is a series of matches that happen immediately after each other. Each win will grants ribbons, which move you up in the current tier.
    • If you win the listed number of battles, you will instantly rank up afterwards.

Championship also gives a lot of money and parts for your vehicle if you rank up.

Vehicle Parts

This is the most important part of the game, because it is how you decide if you can win or not. I’ll list the different parts, where they go, and what they do.

Body

This is the main part of the vehicle, which determines most of your health, and how much power you can use. Power is required to put weapons and boosts on your vehicle.

There are different types of bodies, such as Titan, Surfer, and Boulder. Also, the places you can install other parts is randomized — so every Surfer for example, can be different.

Weapons (Round Spots)

These are how you will damage your opponents. They comes in a variety of types as well, including rockets, drills, swinging blades, and even lasers.

Each weapon has a certain attack number, which is how much damage it deals to opponents.

Your vehicle must have a round parts area to install weapons.

Gadgets (Square Spots)

These are things that don’t attack the opponent directly, but can give you an edge.

Boosters that push you forwards or backwards, and spinning lifts that can pull or flip opponent on their back are the kinds of parts you can place here.

Wheels

The final thing you can customize is the type of wheel. This is actually one of the most important things you can customize, because it affects how your vehicle will move in battle.

Depending on the body you use, you may end up flipping your vehicle over if you use certain wheels.

Using the correct wheels can also make your vehicle point at certain angles, or stop it from being pushed around.

Skills

Ranking up in Championship will also grant and unlock new skills. These skills are passive effects that increase a variety of stats.

There are skills to increase the damage of a certain weapon type, increase the max power a certain body type can have, increase the health of a certain body type, increase how many coins you can get, and more.

You will start off with only 1 set of skills, but as you progress, others will unlock as well.

More C.A.T.S. Tips

Be sure to level up your parts, especially when you find a combination you like

You can fuse old or unwanted parts into others to level them up. Simply select the part you want to level, then drag the unwanted parts into the area to the left.

This costs money and will destroy the old part.

Try many different combinations

There are many weapons, wheels, gadgets, and bodies to choose from. Trying different combinations will produce very different results, and only experimentation can lead to victory when you are having trouble.

The type and location of parts you can have on a body greatly changes things as well, so be sure to try them all out before you get rid of something.

That’s all I have for my Crash Arena Turbo Stars Beginner Tips and Tricks. Let me know if you have any questions!
