EverQuest Next Website Goes Live

SOE asks fans to tell them their EverQuest stories as the date for SOE Live draws closer.

Let’s ignore the massive hype surrounding some of the other MMOs hitting the market this year for a minute and slow down a bit. EverQuest Next, the upcoming third entry to the classic MMORPG series, now has an official site in preparation for the game’s reveal at SOE Live in August.

Sony Online Entertainment has been about as tight-lipped as they can be on the topic of EverQuest Next, and the site is as devoid of information on the title anywhere else. Even so, it works as a great portal to getting in touch with the development team and hearing from other EverQuest fans.

Despite the current lack of information, SOE asks EverQuest veterans to tell them their story via a 30 second to 3 minute video, which must be submitted to Curse for a chance to win a trip to SOE Live. The details can be found on Curse, and submissions will be accepted until July 5.

I am very interested in what Sony Online Entertainment has up their sleeves for EverQuest Next. The near total media blackout on the game leaves us with nothing but guesses, but we do know the game will be free to play and it will be detailed in August.
