Rosty came off very confident from his semi final win and displayed focused and consistent gameplay throughout the tournament; he did not show emotion and has been playing the game slow and steady. Cydonia also played consistently and  kept his cool. Cydonia seemed to have more cool and was used to being in more competitive games possibly, compared to Rosty, for this tournament.

Card decks of the finalist

Cydonia
  • Aggro Shaman
  • C’Thun Druid
  • Dragon Warrior
  • Midrange Hunter
  • Zoo Warlock
Rosty
  • Aggro Shaman
  • Dragon Warrior
  • Face Hunter
  • Freeze Mage
  • Zoo Warlock

Rosty had a strong and interesting deck, and he really used the deck to his advantage. One thing you will notice is the Freeze Mage in Rosty’s deck and Cydonia really capitalized on beating people when they had their Freeze Mage cards out. In the third round though, Rosty had a lot of Freeze Mage cards. He relied heavily on the Freeze effect cards, and took that round for the win. Cydonia in general had an edgy deck, that was predicted before the game to be helpful for him.

This was a very tight game and for people watching even after the 4th round, Rosty had 3 points and Cydonia only had 1 point. It was game point in Rosty’s favor for 3 rounds until the very end of the game. One thing that was noticed at the end of the 4th round was that Rosty only had 100 cards left and it seemed his ending cards were weak,  whereas Cydonia had a couple of decks left.
