State Of Decay Release On Xbox Live Arcade June 5th

If society no longer existed, would you do whatever if took to survive?

Get your shotgun ready. Load up on as much ammo as you can carry. You’ll need water and food. These three flicker through your mind as the first essentials to survival. The latter two your body demands; the former the world you now see in front of you requires. In State of Decay, the newest zombie-survival open world game by Undead Labs, you are confronted with the hard questions of survival that go beyond just finding a weapon and somewhere to aim it.

The end is here. Life as you know it has gone to hell after the mother of all zombie outbreaks.”

Arriving for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PC, State of Decay offers players the chance to test out their zombie killing theories and survival instincts by giving them “an open sandbox world that develops in real-time, dynamically generating content based on your actions, the choices you make, and the ever-increasing zombie threat.”

You must find a base of operations where you and fellow survivors can use to stock pile resources, plan raiding parties, create defenses, and of course your normal run of the mill routine of ass kicking zombies to the nearest part of hell.

Many areas of the world can be used to your advantage. You’ll have to make your way, salvage what you can. However, don’t think it’ll be easy. A quick run through the police station and you’re loaded up without breaking a sweat, right? No, this new life takes more than just smarts and grit. It takes nerve, too. Zombies can hear the absurd noise you’re making breaking into those gun safes. You hit a few places and they can catch on to your activity. They may be dumb, but their senses still work fine.

When the world is in a State of Decay “every choice and every action matters…”

Not only has the human population begun to decay, but every aspect of society as well. Here you will have the chance to develop a community as you see fit. You will find people you can trust, and people you can’t. Life and success is ultimately directly hinged on the way you now handle every situation.

So–what’s the plan?

I'm a 29 year old Jersey girl who loves games. I currently work full time, volunteer part time at this awesome non-profit called Amman Imman, and go to school part time. I also train in jiu jitsu. So time isn't quite on my side (unlike that song says). I have been trying unsuccessfully for years to clone myself so I can devote one of me to boring stuff like working and laundry - thus allowing more time for gaming. I'm willing to offer large sums of imaginary money to any who can make this happen.
