Crossy Road‘s Australian characters are pretty unique, and the Australian desert landscape instead of the standard grass is a nice touch.

Did you know there are five secret Australian characters in Crossy Road? Two are iconic animals and three are the game’s developers! And luckily, none of them are too difficult.

You can use the following characters to unlock the Drop Bear and Crab:

  • Platypus
  • Emo Goose
  • Disco Zoo
  • Kangaroo
  • Echidna
  • Kookaburra
  • Wombat
  • Koala
  • Dingo
  • Emu
  • Cockatoo
  • Andy Sum (If already unlocked)
  • Ben Weatherall (If already unlocked)
  • Matt Hall (If already unlocked)

The three developer characters – Andy Sum, Ben Weatherall, and Matt Hall – require you to play specific animals to unlock them.

How to Unlock the Crab

You can unlock the Crab as long as you have another Australian character to use. Check the list above to see if you have any of them.

Use an Australian character and get ready to swipe! You must swipe left to right at least 50 times in a single run and get a score of at least 40 points to unlock the Crab.

The easiest way to do this is to swipe left to right a few times every time you get to a safe spot. Be sure not to stay still too long to avoid the eagle.

How to Unlock Drop Bear

The Drop Bear appears randomly when playing any Australian character, you just have to keep an eye out.

You’ll find Drop Bear perched on a tree. Let him jump on and eat you to unlock him.
