While exploring the Icymetric Palace in World 2 of Yooka-Laylee, you come across a large head attached to a wall named Brrreze Blok and beating him just isn’t as easy as it should be. Lucky for you the boss battle is actually a lot easier than it seems.
To beat Brrreze Blok it comes down to timing your dodges and using scorch berries.
Directly across from the wall where the boss will move across is a small tree called a Scorchberry bush from which players can grab scorch berries. Using these berries you’ll be able to breathe fire that thaws Brrreze Blok slowly but surely.
While you attempt to do this, be mindful of his icy projectiles he’ll randomly throw to hit you. Though the flames may not seem to do much than mildly annoy him at first eventually dialogue will come up showing he is actually being affected.
As you continue to thaw him, he will move faster and throw more ice blocks your way. The smaller he gets, the more blocks he’ll throw and faster he becomes. To avoid this just remember to circle back around after every igniting of Brrreze in the following pattern:
- Ignite
- Run in circular pattern towards small tree
- Run back to Brrreze Blok
- Repeat
Once this is done enough times Brrreze Blok will disappear and players receive the “Knocking Down Walls” achievement or trophy.
