BlazBlue Alter Memory Anime Based Off Calamity Trigger to Air in the Fall

BlazBlue has truly become an anime fighter.

A lot of people love to throw around the term anime fighter in a derogatory fashion. The most famous games to be called this are Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. Well, the latter is now deserving of that title, at least in a more literal sense, due to the news of it receiving an anime adaptation by the name of BlazBlue Alter Memory.

Hideki Tachibana will be directing this project. He worked as an animator for Bloody Roar, a storyboard artist for Bleach, and he directed Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira.

Helping him out will be Seiji Mizushima and Toshimichi Mori. Mizushima directed Slayers Next and worked as an episode director on Full Metal Alchemist and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Mori worked on BlazBlue and Persona 4 Arena.

Not much is known about the adaptation so far other than it being based off of the events from the Calamity Trigger. All I know is it better not only focus on Jin and Ragna. The other characters are much more interesting.

While most adaptations are only good to watch due to how bad they are, with the people working on BlazBlue Alter Memory, hopefully something great will turn out from it. I can’t wait to watch it for Tager, Litchi, and Bang Shishigami.

Just gonna leave this here.
