Halo TV Series Announced to Kick Off in Fall 2015

All the details to know, so far, to prepare for the Halo TV series launch in Fall 2015.

The Halo TV series, in collaboration with Steven Spielberg, was declared on May 16 to be releasing alongside the newly announced Halo 5: Guardians in fall of 2015.

Details are lacking so far but it has been reported by Variety that television network Showtime were nearing a deal with Xbox Entertainment Studios to produce the series. Little has been made public about the negotiations, however, and it is still unclear how the series will be distributed across Showtime and Xbox.

Whether the series is made available through Showtime or Xbox first, fans can expect a release to go along with their new copies of Halo 5.

General manager at 343 Industries, Bonnie Ross, said in a blog announcement that the Halo TV series “will stand alone, as well as complement and enrich the game experience.”

Last month Xbox staff had stated that Steven Spielberg would be executive producer for the project.

Though Microsoft has six committed projects underway and more in development, this upcoming Halo series may be its most attractive title for the Xbox audience.
