Pokemon is more of a lifestyle to me, not just a game. I’m the person that plays every single game, breeds for shinies, grinds my team to competitive levels, and buys anything with a Gyarados on it. I’m not gonna lie, there’s A LOT of Pokemon merch to choose from. You can probably go into any Walmart or Target boys section and still find shirts with a Pikachu on them. But that’s not what Console to Closet is all about – I’ve found what I think to be the coolest Pokemon unique that I could find – and only one piece has a Pikachu on it.

First up is not just one piece of merch, but an entire line! Fangamer has been releasing Pokemon Gym Shirts over the past few years and they are my absolute favorite thing they carry. Each shirt is done in a beautiful color that represents the gym type and features a different typography design. They are some classy t-shirts. Each shirt is $23 and most come in men/women’s styles and tank top/hoodie variations.

Next is a set of Gen 1 badges from Sanshee. The ultimate goal of every trainer? To get all eight gym badges and wear ’em proud. Show your Pokemon pride in real life with this badge set. I recommend putting one or two on your bag or backpack, and if you’re feeling adventurous in your style, try a badge on the lapel of a blazer or jacket. The badges are $25 for all 8 from Sanshee.

As a part of Gametee’s shadow line, they released a few Pokemon shirts, but this Gengar is my favorite. The black and white graphic make it feel less like a Pokemon shirt and more like a really cool abstract tee. I’d wear it with a bright cardigan or denim moto vest.

Carry your beverages in a stylish Charizard Tumblr from the official Pokemon Center. I don’t know anyone who isn’t a fan of Charizard so this Tumblr will definitely score you brownie points in life. Plus, it’s a merch item that’s actually useful. The tumblr is $20 from the Pokemon Center.

And lastly, wear your Pokeball on your sleeve with the Pikachu Boyfriend Cardigan from WeLoveFine. I’m obsessed with cardigans and I love seeing geeky takes on the classic style. This Pikachu cardigan features pikachu’s adorable face on the chest, but also has Pokeball buttons which is possibly the coolest thing in the world. The cardigan is $48 and is available only in women’s sizes.

So what’s been your favorite item we featured? Comment with your top piece and if you own any other Pokemon merch. I’d also love to know which games you’d like featured on Gaming Gear! Don’t forget to subscribe to the Console to Closet YouTube channel for more gaming fashion videos.
