How to Unlock PsiOps Battlegrounds

To unlock access to PsiOps Battlegrounds, you’ll need to have finished the second campaign mission of The Witch Queen campaign. You’ll also want to have a power level of at least 1500, which should be fairly easy to achieve.

To launch the activity for the first time, simply go to the EDZ map and find the PsiOps Battlegrounds icon.

Completing PsiOps Battlegrounds

First, you’ll need to Break the Lucient Hive position by clearing waves of Hive enemies.

After that’s done, pursue the hunting party leader into the dark forest where you will go through portals that take you to areas with more Hive enemies to kill. However, these portals cannot be used until you’ve dealt with the shielded Hive Lightbearer guarding in each area. The Lightbearer will be immune to damage at first so you’ll need to do focus on the other enemies for the time being.

Just keep clearing waves of enemies until a Lucent Reliquist spawns. Then kill the Relinquist to make it drop a Hive Relic sword that you can use to defeat the Lightbearer and destroy its ghost. Simply, repeat this process two more times as you go through the different portals until you reach the final boss encounter.

In the final encounter, guardians along with Caiatl’s Psions must defeat Mor’ak Lightstealer.

Start off by focusing all your damage on Mor’ak until he summons a shield. This will trigger the Psions to teleport you into the mindscape where you must fight Aspects of Savathun. Just like with the previous encounter, you’ll need to pick up a special relic in order to do damage.

This time they are called Synaptic Spears and you must use them to kill Aspects of Savathun. Taking down all the Aspects in the mindscape will start a damage phase where you can start chipping away at Mor’Ak’s health bar again.

Simply rinse and repeat until you’ve defeated Mor’Ak to complete the first PsiOps Battleground in the EDZ. After completing this introductory mission, you will be able to access the PsiOps Battleground playlist from the H.E.L.M.

And that was how to complete the PsiOps Battlegrounds activity in this season of Destiny 2. For more Destiny 2 guides, check out our other Destiny 2 guides.
