So, thoughts on E3...?

posted by (Featured Columnist) 6 years ago

I figure all game sites should have a thread for recapping E3, so here's where we do it.

What are your thoughts on the show? Share!

I'm now fully resigned to the fact that I'll buy a Wii U for the new Zelda. Which makes it the third console I'll be buying specifically for a Zelda game.

That elf kid and his pony have cost me more money over the years...

HA. I finally managed to break free of Zelda's temptation. Took me a while but freedom is now mine.

.............I just refuse to watch any footage of Hyrule Warriors. Makes things easier. ;)

Join me, Amy! It's a pretty decent console. Been happy with mine so far. :)

I thought Microsoft finally became enticing but Sony's still got me sold. Also, Powers TV show? **** YEAH!

I am mostly impressed with Nintendo. Big announcements plus several new IPs. Certainly more interesting than the Sony conference

I just...I'm not 10 years old anymore, as much as I'd like to be.

well in all due respect, neither of us are the mainstream market. Im not entirely convinced that Microsoft or Sony will hold the reigns for much longer.

Why do you have to be 10 years old to enjoy the games Nintendo showed? Sometimes, innocence can just be pure fun and isn't that why play video games? Just curious. :)

You don't have to be ten years old but let's face it, it helps. I'm all for the charming innocence of yesteryear, but the bottom line is that playing as cutesy little characters hopping around the screen just isn't as appealing to me as it once was.

What little time I do have to play, I want to play the best of the best, games that really showcase the advancements of the industry. I love great narratives, intriguing new characters, etc. I just don't see that in Nintendo.

For what it is, it's great. I never want Nintendo to go away. But I'm looking for something more...next-level, I guess.
